Nashik: Municipal Corporation of Nashik (NMC) administrator Ramesh Pawar issued instructions to the civic body’s urban planning department to begin online construction plan submission and approval from July 1, as directed by the state government’s urban development department.
Pawar told TOI that the construction plan submission and approval process for all small and large projects will be online from July 1. He has already given instructions to planning officials to start the process online, he said.
Currently, building plan proposals for small residential projects under 300 square meters are submitted online, but only large projects over 300 square meters have been allowed to submit building plan proposals. offline.
On April 25 this year, the administrator of the NMC granted relief from online submission of building plans for upcoming large residential projects on and above 300 square meters of land. Since then, builders have been submitting building plan proposals offline.
The decision to do so was made due to technical issues in the software and there had been a demand from builders and architects to allow offline submission of building plans at least for large projects.
NMC started online submission and approval of construction plans from April 1 this year. But very few building plan proposals have been submitted online. Additionally, revenues from various taxes from the planning department have also been affected because of this.
